With Vocabulary Parades winding from coast to coast, my mail has been filled with delightful pictures of words-turned-costumes. Here are some of the marching words I've seen with my own eyes during my visits to around the USA. |

During recent Florida school visits, I was the guest of honor at several school luncheons. Some of the schools used a ticket to "Dine with the Author" as vocabulary parade prizes.
Look at how innovative PTO parents and teachers used table decorations, placemats, and even the CAKE to underscore and review the paraded words.
Another school created a wide screen slide show of the past parade for the all-important review of words, premiered at the Author Lunch. Vocabulary posters decked the halls wherever I turned! |
