Download the Family Word Game Card or come pick one up at one of the eight information booths during the Minnesota State Fair, August 25 to September 5 (while supplies last).
Take the card to the fair. Write “fair words” on the game card, recording two words for each letter of the alphabet. (For example: Write a word that begins with “A” beside the printed A. Remember that X’s are rare—simply look for words that contain an X.)
Look for words in what you SEE, HEAR, READ, FEEL—and certainly in what you EAT—at the fair! Be inspired. Watch the two-minute video.
Bring your completed card to the Fabulous Fair Alphabet Booth, across from the 4-H building, Baldwin Park, Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Blue ribbons will be awarded for completed cards.
Can't go to the fair? Play with words you find at the grocery story, at the ball game, on the city walk, a picnic—words are everywhere.
Select a reviewer to check your game card. All done? YOU WIN! Print your ribbon and proudly display. (Color or Black and White ribbon certificate to hand color. Fill in your name and date.)
Wherever you play the Family Word Game, enjoy discovering words—old and new alike!
